Reminders  Remember to promote and invite students and friends to Saturdays - March  13th - 9 am - OE-4 presentation by Don Lowe, Customer Engineering Manager for GTE Network Services. Don will talk to us about Internships and employment opportunities in GTE. Don and Ed Lynch will meet at a different time to develop the GTE internship program for Oxnard College.  Lina Fafard  has agreed to present a workshop on "How to Handle a Counter Offer" and "Network and Technology Career Paths" - March 27th, 9 am - OE-4. The Marketing Team needs to promote this workshop also. Remember Lina is doing this as a special gift to Oxnard College - Ed Lynch and myself. Lina is also a member of the Software Council of So. Calif., she works with many, many technology companies.  I am in the process of contacting Steve Wright, Chief Networking Engineer for Pacific Bell in Ventura County - he lives in Simi Valley. He is a good friend, I worked with him before. Pacific Bell is interested in the Oxnard Market and will be competing with GTE in the near future.  Perhaps the most important reminder is that all of you/us keep focused on the most important task (above everything else) - "passing your Cisco certification exam."  Networking schools is part of your required Lab work - employers look for networking work experience, thus your volunteer work is very important - but we need to keep things in perspective.

Special Report - I gave Ed Lynch the following items - that you asked me to organize:  Corporate Donor - fund raising list for our area.  List of all public officials for our area. List of Local High School Cisco Networking Academies, that we have helped and are part of the Oxnard College Regional Cisco Academy.  Ed trains the teachers who operate the Cisco Program and I have been providing technical assistance to them.

I will see you on Saturday March 13th - 9 am.
